DeSantis Did Not Comment
Although Governor DeSantis had not publicly shared his stance on the bill, his history of anti-LGBTQ+ policies signaled a potential inclination to support it if passed.
Will Lose Billions
One online critic wrote, “Ron DeSantis is pathetic just because Disney didn’t agree with his don’t say gay bill. Disney is the number one employer in the state of Florida. It brings in billions yearly; he’s not hurting Disney. He’s hurting the people of Florida. We will lose billions if they decide to leave.”
