Trump’s response has been controversial. “…is she Indian or is she Black?” he asked. “I respect either one, but obviously she doesn’t, because she was Indian all the way, and then all of the sudden she made a turn and…she became a Black person.”

Trump took to Truth Social after the event to share just how much he disagreed with the questioning, “The questions were Rude and Nasty, often in the form of a statement, but we CRUSHED IT!”
